Last Updated: June 14, 2026

Solrova, Inc. ("Solrova," "we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware corporation, is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use the Solrova Solar Design Studio at solrova.com (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights as a consumer.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Service.

Notice at Collection
Solrova is a lead-matching platform that matches homeowners with vetted local solar professionals. When you submit our lead form, we collect your name, contact information, address, and solar usage data to generate your personalized savings estimate and to share your profile with the one vetted Solar Partner we match you with in your area. A "Solar Partner" is a licensed, insured solar installation contractor or company that has been vetted and approved for the Solrova network. Your information may be sold or shared with Solar Partners who may contact you about solar installation services. You have the right to opt out of this sale or sharing — see the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information section below or email privacy@solrova.com.

Sensitive Personal Information (CPRA): Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the following data Solrova collects qualifies as sensitive personal information: (1) precise geolocation derived from your home address, (2) energy consumption data from your utility bills, and (3) financial information (monthly electricity costs). We collect these categories solely to generate your personalized solar savings estimate and to match you with a qualified installer. We do not use sensitive personal information for profiling, advertising, or any purpose beyond what is disclosed in this policy.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government-issued IDs, financial account numbers, payment card data, or passwords through the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

About sharing and sale of personal information. Solrova is a lead-matching platform. When you consent to connect with a Solar Partner, Solrova shares your personal information with the one vetted Solar Partner we match you with in your area. Under California law (CCPA/CPRA), this sharing may constitute a "sale or sharing" of personal information. Solrova does not share data with data brokers, lead aggregators, or advertising networks. California residents may opt out — see the Do Not Sell or Share section. Consent is never required to use the Solar Design Studio or receive a savings estimate.

3. TCPA Consent & Lead Routing

The FCC's rules under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) require that consent for telemarketing calls and texts be obtained clearly and transparently. Solrova operates on a single-recipient basis: with your prior express written consent, we match you with one vetted Solar Partner, who may contact you. This practice relies on your prior express written consent under the TCPA — not on any regulatory exemption.

When you submit the lead form and check the consent checkbox, your consent (consent version 3.0) expressly authorizes Solrova and the one vetted Solar Partner we match you with to contact you by phone, text, or email — including via automated dialing technology, pre-recorded messages, and AI-generated voice or text — about solar savings for your home. Consent is not required to use the Solar Design Studio or receive your estimate.

For each lead submission, we capture and store the following TCPA compliance record:

FieldDescription
Consent textVerbatim text of the checkbox label at the moment of submission
Consent versionVersion identifier (incremented whenever consent language changes)
Timestamp (client)ISO 8601 timestamp from the user's browser
Timestamp (server)Server receipt time (authoritative)
IP addressCaptured server-side in Edge Function (not from client JavaScript)
User agentBrowser identification string
Page URLFull URL of the page where consent was given
Session IDUnique session identifier linking consent to the lead record
Consent methodDocumented as "explicit_checkbox" — unchecked by default, requiring affirmative action

TCPA consent records are stored in an append-only database table. They cannot be modified or deleted, even by Solrova administrators. Records are retained for a minimum of 7 years from the date of consent, as required by FCC guidance and industry best practice.

You may revoke your consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, calling us, or emailing privacy@solrova.com. Revocation applies to future contacts only and does not affect the legality of contacts made before revocation.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

We do not share personal information with advertising networks, data brokers, or any other third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure

Solrova's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

6. Data Retention

Data TypeRetention PeriodReason
TCPA consent logs 7 years from date of consent FCC regulatory requirement; append-only, immutable records
Lead records 3 years from submission Business operations, installer performance tracking, dispute resolution
Uploaded utility bill images 24 hours maximum Bills are processed in-browser; any server-side copies are permanently deleted within 24 hours. Account numbers are discarded immediately after parsing.
Analytics data (Google Analytics 4, PostHog) GA4 user-level data up to 14 months; PostHog event data up to 12 months Pseudonymous site-usage and conversion metrics — no directly identifying information; not linked to your identity

When a data retention period expires, records are permanently deleted or de-identified, except where a longer retention period is required by law.

7. California Residents — CCPA/CPRA Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Solrova operates a lead-matching platform and may share your personal information with the one vetted Solar Partner we match you with. This sharing may constitute a "sale or sharing" of personal information under California law, which means your opt-out rights described below are directly applicable.

Your California Privacy Rights

How to exercise your rights: Submit a verifiable request to privacy@solrova.com. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If we need additional time, we will notify you of an extension (up to an additional 45 days).

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

Under CPRA (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.120), California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. When Solrova shares your contact information and solar profile with Solar Partners, this constitutes "sharing" of personal information under California law.

To opt out: Email privacy@solrova.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." Include your name, email address, and phone number so we can locate your record. We will process your request within 15 business days and will instruct the Solar Partner who received your information to cease using it for marketing purposes within 48 hours of our notification to them.

You may also opt out at the point of data collection by not checking the consent checkbox on the lead form. The Solar Design Studio is fully functional without submitting your contact information to any Solar Partner.

Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information
To request that Solrova limit the use of your sensitive personal information (precise geolocation, energy usage, financial data) to only what is necessary to provide the Service: privacy@solrova.com

How We Honor Opt-Out Preference Signals (Global Privacy Control)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).

We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other opt-out preference signals that your browser or browser extension sends on your behalf. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser or device, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of the personal information associated with that browser or device, including for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising. We process the signal automatically. You do not need to fill out any additional form for that browser or device.

Because an opt-out preference signal is generally tied to a particular browser or device rather than to you as an identified individual, we apply it to the browser or device from which it is received. If you have given us information that identifies you (for example, a lead-form submission), and you have enabled GPC, we will, where feasible, also apply your opt-out choice to that identified profile. You may still submit a separate opt-out request, or other privacy requests, through the methods described elsewhere in this policy.

Enabling GPC, or otherwise opting out, will not cause us to deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level or quality of service, except as permitted by law.

You may also exercise this right by using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in our website footer. Using the Global Privacy Control achieves the same opt-out of sale and sharing without the need to use these links for each browser. To learn more about Global Privacy Control or to download a supporting browser or extension, visit globalprivacycontrol.org.

8. Other State Privacy Rights

Residents of states with consumer privacy laws — including Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), Montana (MCDPA), and others — may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain data processing activities. To exercise your rights under any applicable state privacy law, contact us at privacy@solrova.com.

9. Cookies & Tracking

Solrova uses a limited set of first-party and analytics cookies and similar technologies. We do not use advertising pixels, retargeting tags, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing trackers of any kind.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) and PostHog (US Cloud) to understand how visitors use the site and where our traffic comes from, so we can improve the Service. Both tools are configured to protect your privacy:

Your choices and opt-out. Solrova operates only in the United States, where applicable state privacy laws follow an opt-out model, so no opt-in cookie banner is required. You can opt out of analytics in any of these ways:

We also use strictly necessary, session-based browser storage (such as sessionStorage) to maintain form state during your visit. This is not used for tracking and does not persist after you close your browser.

10. Data Security and Breach Notification

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information:

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, contact us immediately at privacy@solrova.com.

In the event of a data breach involving your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including California Civil Code §1798.82 and other applicable state breach notification statutes. If you have questions about our security practices, contact us at security@solrova.com.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. Solrova's services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13 within the meaning of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 15 U.S.C. § 6501 et seq. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@solrova.com so that we can promptly delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service for 30 days following the update. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
